Research supported by Cork City Council

Imagine transforming broken umbrellas into vibrant fish kites that flutter gracefully in the breeze.
This long-term community project brings joy and creativity to our city. By repurposing waste, we promote sustainability and make unique designs that reflect our personal creativity. Through workshops, the collaborative activity invites families and friends of all ages to come together, crafting something beautiful and fun.
With their lightweight yet durable umbrella fabric, these kites seem to swi through the air, creating a stunning spectacle at community gatherings. Plus, they encourage everyone to enjoy the great outdoors, making kite flying a delightful experience.
